Common questions
I lost my data, or I’m moving to a new phone
frugl keeps everything on the device and has no account to sync with, so data doesn’t travel on its own. Before switching phones, open More → Export data and keep the file somewhere safe; you can bring it back with Import on the new device. If your old phone backed up to iCloud, restoring that backup onto the new phone also restores frugl’s data along with it.
I paid but frugl still thinks my trial ended
Open More → Manage subscription and tap Restore purchases. That asks the App Store again and usually sorts it. If it doesn’t, check that you’re signed into the same Apple Account you paid with, then write to us — include the email on your Apple Account and we’ll take it from there.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → frugl → Cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you’ve paid for runs out. Refund requests also go to Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I’m not getting reminders
frugl asks iOS for permission once. If you declined, it can’t ask again — turn it back on in iPhone Settings → Notifications → frugl, then check More → Notifications in the app. The reminders are local to your phone; nothing is pushed from a server.
I want to delete everything
More → Reset all data erases every jar, expense, income entry, goal and projection permanently, with no copy kept anywhere. Deleting the app does the same thing. Neither is reversible, so export first if there’s any chance you’ll want it back.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. frugl is an iPhone app for now.
The first 30 days of frugl are free and don’t ask for a card. See the privacy policy for what frugl does with your data, and the terms for the subscription and refund policy.
